A hanging collection of origami paper cranes will welcome visitors at the gallery entrance.

As backdrop to an outdoor gathering area, 11,000 metal ID tags will honor the people interned at Topaz.

Through interactive exhibits, visitors will learn about the difficult choices Japanese families faced.

A pre-war timeline and historic images will guide visitors to the story of the internment camp program.

Topaz Museum
DELTA, UT
West Office was engaged by the Topaz Museum to develop exhibits for their museum in Delta, Utah. The exhibits will increase awareness of a painful, important, yet little known chapter in American history. They will inform visitors of the events that took place before, during and after 11,000 Japanese Americans were held in an internment camp, called Topaz, just a few miles from Delta, Utah.

Artifacts from the Topaz Museum collection will be displayed and interpreted, offering opportunities for learning and reflection. Visitors will be challenged to consider what happened at Topaz and why it matters to all of us, as they come to understand the importance and value of their constitutional rights and civil liberties.
