With a unique and lively history to tell, the Park City Historical Society & Museum has embarked on a major expansion project that includes newly-designed exhibits in its historic buildings and planned addition. The new exhibits will bring to life the stories of an independent, spirited community and the economic, political, and social structures that set it apart from other Western communities.

Interactive experiences will take visitors back to the boom and bust days of mining, introduce them to the rich and diverse cultures that resulted from a mining-dependent community, and acquaint them with the efficient transportation industries that were spurred on by the city’s productive mines. A key attraction will be a re-created "mine wall," running the height of the museum’s three floors and revealing an entire mining landscape, complete with tunnels, mining equipment and operations. Exhibits will also feature key artifacts from the museum’s extensive collection of the past 20 years.
