PROJECTS

A re-constructed ravine at the main entry path is enhanced by an "audioscape" of native animal sounds.

Donors’ names are engraved on the coper scales of three giant gila monsters.

Along the trails, interpretive graphics enhance shade structures and spaces for staffed activities.

Trail graphics (a stone’s throw and a world away from the Las Vegas Strip) interpret archeological remains.

Las Vegas Springs Preserve:
Exterior and Trails
LAS VEGAS, NV
The 180-acre complex sits on the site of the original springs that supplied water to the city of Las Vegas. Exhibits explore the ways that water has, paradoxically, determined the geology, ecology and cultural history of this desert region.

More than 2000 signs orient and inform visitors. Signage includes orientation maps, parking and interpretive graphics on over two miles of trails.
