PROJECTS

How do you do what you do? Each active figure illustrates a different body system.

In the "Bone Gym," visitors work out while a skeleton mirrors their movements.

Pump a giant heart. A speedometer reveals how your own heart works during different activities.

Muscles in motion—opposable muscles work together to move an arm.

A reverent display from the University Hospital collection shows fetal development.

Think you can drive drunk? Think again. This simulator shows how drinking impairs our motor control.

Health is in your hands. Over 70 interactive exhibits focus on people, the choices they make, and how those decisions affect their health and well-being. The exhibits separate human health issues into three distinct galleries to work with the challenges of the Center’s historic waterfront building. “BodyWatch” introduces how the human body works, “TimeZone” investigates health issues throughout life and “Breakthrough” gallery contains changing exhibits that explore the latest healthcare discoveries and innovations made in Louisville.
